Scott H. Wells
M.F.A. (Actor's Equity Association Candidate)

As a theatre practitioner for 30+ years, I have been blessed with many opportunities to wear different hats in this exciting field. I'll do whatever I can to make a production great, whether it's my concentration or not.

I have fond memories of working in the wardrobe department at the Orlando Shakespeare Festival, or operating sound and light boards for The Ft. Lauderdale Players, and especially dramaturgical work for The Black Stallion Literacy Project.
Alas, my career interests have shifted, but should the opportunity present itself, I'll be glad to audition for that 'perfect' role. I am honored to be currently sharing my experiences as an educator at Florida Atlantic and Nova Southeastern Universities as well as Broward College.
The following images are a collection that I have been permitted to publish.
I wish I could include every performance, but I hope this will give viewers a glimpse into the craft and art form I love and respect so well.

Thank you...Scott

Directing Opportunities: 1997 to 2014
My directing credits include The Insanity of Mary Girard, 2003, for the Orlando Fringe Festival in Orlando, Florida, and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, 1997, for The Twelfth-Knight Players, Orlando, Florida.
However, In 2014 I was honored with an opportunity to co-direct a mainstage production for Florida Atlantic University. The play was Rhinoceros by Eugene Ionesco. My vision for the play was Brechtian in scope, marrying absurdity with realism. This was an all-women cast.

Arabian Nights Dinner Theatre 1998 -2004
My 6-year engagement as the Genie for the Arabian Nights attraction in Kissimmee, Florida provided me with exciting opportunities to perform for audiences from all over the world. Our shows were 7 nights a week, the venue sat over 1500 people, and we were often sold-out. My favorite part, as the emcee of the show, was interacting with the audience and rousing their participation and excitement for the show. Below is the show's program during my tenure as their host.
